About Job Cost Methods

Job Cost Methods set up the charging instructions for print and copy jobs that display particular attributes. A Job Cost Method calculates the charge based on the area printed on or attributes such as the paper size used and the printing or copying process used, such as simplex, duplex, tumble, collate.

Pharos Print Groups and Copiers cost and charge for jobs according to the Job Cost Method associated with them. In the Uniprint print management system, Job Cost Methods are attached to one or more Print Groups. In the Off-The-Glass copy management system, Job Cost Methods are attached directly to copiers.
