Adding Custom Modules

Custom Modules are added at Packages > Custom Modules and must then be added to package definitions so that they will be included in packages.

To add a new Custom module:
  1. In the Custom Modules Actions pane, select the Insert action ( ). This opens the Custom Module Insert dialog.
  1. In the Insert Custom Module dialog, configure the following properties:

General Properties

Do this

Name

Enter a name for the new Custom Module.

Install Order

Enter a new value into this field. Values must be between 1000 and 20000 - the lower the number, the earlier the module is placed in the install order.

Attributes

Tick the boxes for any attributes that need to be specified, then click OK to close the dialog.

Include in all Packages - ticking this box means that this module will always be included in all package definitions. If the box is not ticked, the modules must be manually added using the Custom Modules dialog in the Package Definitions context.

  1. Click OK. The new Custom Module appears in the List Window of Pharos Administrator. All properties appear below in the Properties Window, where all further modifications to the module are made.

Deleting a Custom Module

To delete an existing module, select the Delete action in the Custom Modules Actions pane ( ).

If the module runs successfully, the contents of the result.txt file are written to the package's ControllerLog.txt log file, and the result.txt file is deleted. The package log file is located in the Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp\Pharos directory of the client PC.
