Adding and Deleting Package Definitions
Adding a Package Definition
Before creating install packages, definitions for each package are created in the Pharos Administrator. A package definition specifies the contents and properties of an install package. Package Definition are created at Packages > Package Definitions context.
To add a package definition:
- In the Package Definitions Actions pane, select the Insert action ( ). This opens the Insert Package Definition dialog.
- In the Insert Package dialog, configure the following properties.

Enter the name of the new package. |

Enter a description for the package (optional). |
Custom Modules |
Select a Custom Module (optional). |
EULA Filename |
Enter the name and path of the text file containing the EULA that will be displayed to users when they run the package. If no EULA is to be used, leave this field blank. EULA files must be less than 100KB in size. |
Pharos Supplied Modules |
Tick or clear the check boxes next to the listed components to include or remove them from the package. |
Queues |
Select the Queue(s) that should be included in the package. |
- Click OK. The new package definition is now inserted into the Pharos Database. The package definition entries appear in the List Window of Pharos Administrator. All properties appear below in the Properties Window, where all further modifications to the package definitions are made.
Deleting a Package Definition
To delete an existing definition entry, select the Delete action in the Package Definitions Actions pane ( ).
