About Release Stations

In a Direct printing situation, jobs are released to printers as soon as they are sent. In a Secure Release printing environment, you will need to set up one or more print release stations, where users release their print jobs to printers and optionally pay for them.

Print jobs can be released in several ways:

From a dedicated PC running Pharos Station software
From aNetwork Terminal device such as Omega PS200, etc.
From an Integrated MFP (iMFP) solution
From a Sentry Print SE50 Terminal
From the Pharos Print Center.

Pharos Stations, Network Terminals, and iMFPs are added, viewed and configured in the Release Stations context of the Pharos Administrator.

When securing a device for Sentry Print, a Sentry Print SE50 Terminal record is automatically added to the Release Stations context.

Print Center can be accessed by typing in its URL from a supported web browser. By default the URL of the Pharos Print Center is https://server/myprintcenter, where server is the name of the server on which the Print Center is installed.

Pharos Print Center related settings are configured in the System > System Settings context of Pharos Administrator.
