About Charging Models

A Charging Model is an organized collection of entities(used for Third Party Charging) that users can charge costs to. Charging Model may include either or both of the following entities:

Charging Models are organized into Categories  with the Cost Centers and Grants at the lowest level. The Charging Models context is available under Charging > Third Party Charging in the Context Tree:

Adding Charging Models

To add a new Charging Model:
  1. In the Charging Models Action pane, select the Insert Charging Model button ( ). This opens the Charging Model Insert dialog, which collects the necessary information and creates a new Charging Model entry with it.
  2. Enter a name for the new Charging Model and click OK. The new Charging Model entry is inserted into the Pharos Database.

After creating a Charging Model, you can now add Categories and Cost Centers to this Charging Model.

Deleting Charging Models

To delete an existing Charging Model entry, select a Charging Model and click the Delete button in the Charging Models Action Pane ( ).

Charging Model Properties

Charging Models have only one property: their name. This name uniquely identifies the Charging Model in Pharos Administrator.

To change a Charging Model's name, type a new entry into the Name property.
