Using the Nerve Center
The SignUp Nerve Center web application allows staff the ability to manage a SignUp reservation system on a day-by-day basis.
Logging On
The SignUp Nerve Center is a web page that opens in a web browser. Open the page by typing in its URL from within your web browser. On the web server where the Nerve Center components are installed, a shortcut to the Nerve Center is created in the Start menu under Programs > Pharos.
By default, the URL of the Nerve Center is http://server/signup/default.asp, where "server" is the name of your web server. To set a default Branch, use the URL http://server/signup/Logon.asp?Branch=my+branch, where "my branch" is the name of the Branch that will be selected by default in the Branch combo box of the logon screen (note that any spaces in the Branch name must be replaced with "+").
A Logon ID (username) and Password must be supplied to log on to the Nerve Center. The User logging on must have Proctor or higher access level to be able to access all available functions. Users logging on with User-level access will only be able to view their own reservation history, and create Scheduled reservations for themselves (if Scheduled reservations are available for the selected Group). A default Branch must also be selected - the Nerve Center only displays one Branch at a time (although all Branches and Groups are accessible).
Some browsers will save your logon and password so that it can be re-entered quickly. For extra security, this feature should be turned off.
The password field can be removed if necessary, by editing the Logon.asp document.
Any change to the Pharos system that requires a Change Control will not be reflected in the Nerve Center until the user logs off and logs back on again.
Add the Nerve Center page to your Favorites (Favorites menu > Add to Favorites... in Internet Explorer) for easy access.
